Review Guidelines

Purpose

Reviews enable users to share factual observations about an address and the property located there. They are intended to assist others in understanding conditions, characteristics, or experiences associated with that specific location. Reviews must relate to the address itself or the property type identified below.

Property Types

An address may correspond to one or more of the following property types. Reviews should clearly identify the relevant type and focus on the user’s direct experience with it:

• Residential: A single-family home, townhouse, duplex, or similar dwelling intended for private occupancy. Reviews may address livability, neighborhood conditions observable from the property, maintenance of the structure or grounds, parking, noise, access, or other characteristics relevant to residential use. Do not include private information about occupants.
• Commercial: A business premises such as an office, retail store, restaurant, warehouse, or mixed-use building used for commercial activity. Reviews may cover accessibility, parking, condition of the building or common areas, operational characteristics visible to visitors or customers, loading access, or suitability for commercial purposes. Focus on the property rather than internal business operations or proprietary information.
• Parcel of Land: Vacant or undeveloped land, a lot, acreage, or a tract without a primary structure, or land held for future use. Reviews may describe topography, access, utilities or lack thereof, drainage, vegetation, fencing, surrounding land use, or other physical characteristics of the parcel. Note any observable restrictions or conditions that affect the land itself.
• Hotel: A lodging establishment offering temporary accommodations, including hotels, motels, inns, or similar properties. Reviews may address room condition, cleanliness, amenities, noise levels, parking, check-in experience as it relates to the property, or overall suitability of the premises for guests. Limit comments to the property and publicly observable or personally experienced aspects of the stay.
• Apartment: A multi-unit residential building or complex in which individual units are leased or owned separately (including condominiums or co-ops presented as apartments). Reviews may cover unit condition, building maintenance, common areas, parking, noise between units, security features of the property, or management responsiveness as it affects the physical premises. Do not disclose private details about other residents.

Submission and Permanence

Reviews are submitted through the designated areas of the Platform and must identify the specific address and property type. Once a review is submitted, it cannot be deleted or withdrawn by the user. The review becomes a permanent record associated with that address. Review your submission carefully before confirming it.

Content Standards

Reviews must be based on the submitter’s genuine, direct experience with the address and property. They should be factual, relevant, and respectful. Prohibited content includes false or misleading statements, personal attacks, harassment, illegal material, disclosure of others’ private information, unsolicited advertising, or content unrelated to the address and its property type.

Moderation and License

Mass Address may moderate, refuse, or remove reviews that violate these guidelines or applicable law. Such action does not create a right to delete the original submission. By submitting a review, you grant Mass Address a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, store, and distribute the review in connection with the Platform.
