Review removal policy

Anyone may pay to remove a review

Mass Address does not require proof of ownership, tenancy or any relationship to a property before accepting a removal payment. Payment removes the selected review and its rating from the public address page. Payment does not establish that the payer owns the property, and it does not mean the review was inaccurate.

The fee doubles per address

Each street address keeps its own removal history. The first paid removal costs $5, then $10, $20, $40 and so on. The sequence is shared by every apartment or suite at the address and never resets, including when the owner, manager or payer changes. Refunds, when granted, do not restore a review or reset the sequence.

What reviewers should know

Reviews and ratings are permanent once posted and cannot be edited or deleted by their author. Unit labels are entered by reviewers and are not verified. Reviews that break our content rules may be removed by staff without payment; those removals do not change the fee sequence.

Averages

The average rating and review count on an address page include only reviews currently shown. Paid and policy removals both change what is displayed.
